‘Cheap’ 7-seat Mercedes GLB SUV to be released by year-end

Mercedes-Benz GLB 2020 is the latest addition to the large and powerful SUV collection of the German carmaker.

Mercedes-Benz GLB has just been launched worldwide. This model is located between GLA and GLC with 111.4-inch wheelbase. Despite being the 7-seater SUV, GLB 2020 is still classified by Mercedes as a small family car.

The new GLB is designed flexibly. The third row of seats (two seats) can be folded neatly. Window airbags are equipped for this row of seats with two cup holders and USB-C port.

If the customer does not want 7 seats, GLB 2020 has a 5-seat option with a second row of seats that can be folded in a ratio of 40:20:40

The new GLB exterior design is similar to the recently introduced concept. The front face is beefy with square headlights, grille and distinctive front bumper. Vehicles are pre-mounted on the roof rack in a healthy design. Customers can choose High Performance LED headlights and LED fog lamps.

Cabin of the GLB 2020 is integrated with the latest technologies of the German carmaker. The MBUX infotainment system has first appeared on the new A-Class, accompanied by two large screens, which will be the standard equipment on the new GLB.

The advanced driving system on the S-Class is also equipped by Mercedes-Benz for the GLB 2020, which means that the new SUV is capable of automatically driving in certain conditions.

Important technologies such as Active Steering Assist, Active Lane Change Assist, Active Parking Assist with Parktronic technology are also available on GLB 2020.

The 4MATIC full-time four-wheel drive system is also a standard on the new GLB, which supports the driving modes of Eco, Comfort, Sport and Off-Road, allowing the distribution of force between the front and rear wheelbases.

Mercedes-Benz GLB 2020 is sold first in the United States, namely the GLB 250 4MATIC model. The car is equipped with a 2.0-Liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, producing 221 horsepowers at 5,500 rpm and 350 Nm at 1,800-4,000 rpm.

The GLB 250 4MATIC price in the US has not been announced but is likely to be reasonable because it is a small SUV, Carscoops said. This model is expected to soon appear in many markets, including Vietnam, where 7-seat cars are always popular.
