Limited Edition Luxury Mercedes-Benz X-Class Edition 1 debuts

The limited edition Edition 1 based on X350d 4Matic Power is sold for 61,127 USD in the Australian market.


Mercedes-Benz introduced the X-Class Edition 1 for the Australian market, a limited edition based on the X350d 4Matic Power variant launched late last year. The difference is that the Edition 1 is slightly upgraded and has new exterior colors.


The Edition 1 is more expensive than the Volkswagen Amarok TDI580 Ultimate (72,790 USD) and Ford Ranger Raptor (75,390 USD). It features a 19-inch dual-spoke multi-spoke alloy wheels, black Mercedes-Benz three-pointed star logo on the grille.


The car comes with three optional exterior colors: Kabara Black, Bering White and Rock Gray with sporty stripes on the bonnet, rearview mirror, V6 engine logo, side sills and rear ends.


The interior of the Edition 1 is also slightly upgraded compared to the regular X350d. Mercedes has equipped the car with a unique floor mats, Edition 1 badge on dashboard, leather seats with standard heating function, rear window Power adjustment and dark glass to increase privacy in the back. In addition, the luxury pickup model also receives cardboard boxes and covers along with exterior colors.


Edition 1 is still equipped with a 6-cylinder diesel engine, 3.0-Liter capacity, producing 254 horsepowers and 550 Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to the 4Matic all-wheel drive system via 7G-Tronic automatic transmission. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.9 seconds.


Mercedes-Benz did not disclose specific production numbers of Edition 1, but expects to sell about 200-300 units within 1 year. Currently, Edition 1 has only been distributed in Australia with a selling price of 61,127 USD. The vehicle will be introduced in the Australian market in July.
